Making your spotlight video

Let viewers meet the person behind your business, learn what you offer, and know how to connect with you: a personal video message paired with one clear next step.

What should you say?

Use these questions to plan your video. You don't need to answer every one.

  • Who are you, and what is your business?
  • What do you offer, and who do you help?
  • As a Chamber member, what would you like the community to know about your business?
  • What would you like viewers to do next: visit your Chamber directory listing, explore your website, or join your Facebook group?

A simple script to make it easy

"Hi, I'm [name], owner of [business]. As a Chamber member, I'm excited to introduce ourselves to the community.

We help [customers/audience] with [product or service]. [Add one thing you'd like people to know, such as what makes your business different, an upcoming event, or a current offer.]

To learn more, [visit our Chamber directory listing / explore our website / join our Facebook group] using the link provided. We look forward to connecting with you!"

How to participate

  1. Request a week on the calendar above. Include the links you want viewers to visit (your Chamber directory listing, website or Facebook group) and which one should be the main next step.
  2. The Chamber emails you a recording link. You'll use it to record your video on our platform. No app or account needed.
  3. Record your 30–60 second introduction using your phone or laptop.

Members may request to be featured once every six months.

Recording tips

  • Hold your phone sideways. The spot on the website is wide; a tall video plays with black bars down both sides.
  • Face a window. Light in front of you, not behind you.
  • Find a quiet spot and hold the phone at eye level. Look at the lens, not the screen.
  • Say your business name in the first few seconds, and end on the next step you picked.
  • Skip background music unless you own it.
